What is more important - the FOOD or the RECIPE?
Maybe, this quintessential Mulla Nasrudin story provides the answer.
THE FISH AND THE RECIPE
One day Mulla Nasrudin went to the market and bought a fine Pomfret fish.
On the way home he met a friend who gave him a special recipe for the fish.
Mulla Nasrudin loved eating fish.
His mouth was already watering in anticipation.
In his mind he was imagining how he was going to cook the delicious pomfret fish curry dish.
His friend had given him a special recipe for fish curry, which he was carrying in his pocket.
His mouth watered as he imagined himself sitting down for dinner and relishing the lip-smacking fish curry with rice.
Suddenly a large crow swooped down and stole the fish from Nasrudin's hands and flew off with the pomfret fish firmly lodged in its beak.
“You thief...!” Mulla Nasrudin angrily shouted at the crow, “You have stolen my fish. But you won’t be able to enjoy it because I have got the recipe!”
