WHO IS TO BLAME - Playing the Blame Game

BLAME GAME
Saturday Evening Rumination
By
VIKRAM KARVE

I think it was Epictetus who gave us this wisdom:

An uneducated person blames others for his own troubles.

So if you blame others for your misfortunes, you are uneducated.

A semi-educated person blames himself or herself.

If you blame yourself, your education has just begun.

An educated person blames no one.

If you blame neither others nor yourself – if you do not blame anyone but accept and tackle the problem with stoicism, then your education is complete.

So whenever you are frustrated or upset or grieved:

Do not blame others

Do not blame yourself

But accept the event stoically with a philosophical approach to life and try to mitigate the problem and alleviate your distress.

This applies at the macro-level too - so please let us stop the perpetual BLAME GAME

Remember:

An uneducated person blames others for his own troubles

A semi-educated person blames himself for his troubles

A properly educated person blames no one - he does not blame himself nor does he blame others

Cheers. Have a nice blameless weekend.
