Today 03 April 2014 is the
Birth Centenary (100th Birthday) of Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji
Manekshaw (3 April 1914 – 27 June 2008).
Someone told me this story about Sam Manekshaw long back (Maybe, it is an Apocryphal Story)
SAM MANEKSHAW and his SENSE OF HUMOUR
As Army Chief, Sam Manekshaw was inspecting a unit.
One soldier was suffering from STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases).
Sam enquired from the CO what action was being taken against the soldier.
The CO said that the soldier’s head would be shaved off.

Sam flared at the CO and asked him: “Shaving off his head? Why? He didn’t
do it with his head, did he?”
