KNOWLEDGE WIT and WISDOM
A Mulla Nasrudin Story
Retold By
VIKRAM KARVE
One day the village teacher told Mulla Nasrudin that he had decided to travel across the world to seek additional knowledge.
The young man asked Nasrudin what kind of people he should look for.
Mulla Nasrudin recalled some wise words he had once heard from his elders and repeated them to the young knowledge seeker:
He who knows not and knows not that he knows not, is a fool – Shun him
He who knows not and knows that he knows not, is a child – Teach him
He who knows and knows not that he knows, is asleep – Awaken him
He who knows and knows that he knows, is wise – Follow him
Then Mulla Nasrudin paused for a moment and said:
“But do you know how difficult it is to be sure that:
The one who knows and he knows that he knows – does he really know?”
Think, Reflect, and have a good laugh.
Have a Good Day ahead.
