seene mein jalan aankhon mein toofaan saa kyon hain ?
is shahar mein har shaksh pareshaan saa kyon hain ?

dil hain to, dhadakane kaa bahaanaa koi dhoondhe
patthar ki tarah beheesa-o-bejaan saa kyon hain ?

tanahaee ki ye kaunasee, manzil hain rafeekon
taa-hadd-ye-najar yek bayaabaan saa kyon hain ?

kyaa koi nayee baat najar aati hain hum me
aaeenaa hamein dekh ke hairaan saa kyon hain ?

This Ghazal was part of one of the golden era of Ghazal when it was part of main bollywood cinema.. This Ghazal is close to my heart as well....
