GUIDE FOR INTERVIEWERS - CAMPUS PLACEMENT SELECTION INTERVIEW

CAMPUS PLACEMENT SELECTION INTERVIEW
GUIDE FOR INTERVIEWERS
Five Questions You Must Ask the Interviewee
By
VIKRAM KARVE

Five Questions an interviewer must ask students during a campus placement interview:

1. Why did you choose the this vocation? (eg. Engineering, IT, Medicine, Management, HR, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Law, Science, Geology etc)

2. Why should we hire you?

3. What are your hobbies? How do you spend your leisure?

4. Which is your favourite book? What is the book you are reading at present?

5. What is your biggest frustration in life?

The answers can be quite revealing and may tell you a lot about the person.

There may be someone who has no hobby, or who does not read books. You can ask such persons about movies, instead of books, or his passions like food, pets or other passions, in case you want to ascertain the interviewee's creative tastes and social attributes.

It is the answer to the last question which will finally determine whether you should hire the person or not.
