HUMOUR IN AND OUT OF UNIFORM
There is a news item on 31 May 2014 in The Times of India with the caption GOLF LOVING BABUS GET JITTERS
On reading this I remembered a distinguished Admiral - the only Navy Chief from the Submarine Branch - who I happened to meet a few months ago in the US Club Mumbai.
Around 25 years ago, on taking over as CinC (East), he addressed all officers of the command and his opening words were: "I don't play golf."
Soon, most of the "avid" golfers were seen taking evening walks or on the tennis courts, which the CinC enjoyed every evening.
