I am 62 years old now and Ex-Serviceman(...Dear Sir,
I am 62 years old now and Ex-Serviceman(I.N.O.no:57387, ExLEMR ). Since April, 1979. I have following points on which I feel Indian Navy & Defence Ministry have totally ignored about Welfare of Ex-Serviceman.
1. Discriminating rules of pension entitlement between Navy, Air Force & Army.
2. No Medical Aid is made suitabaly available to Ex Serviceman & his family members.
3. No Family Pension is made suitably available to spouce of Ex-Serviceman.
4. No Grivance Redresal Seminars / Darbars are initiated and called by Centaral & /or State Goverment & Ministry.
In all situation is very pathetic & disgusting about Welfare of Ex-Serviceman.AvinashShreedharLimayenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710313771389348282.post-65907151323209678032013-07-17T11:55:25.155+05:302013-07-17T11:55:25.155+05:30Sir
This is closely related to your other article...Sir

This is closely related to your other article on "Rankophilia". Any effort by an individual or unit to alleviate the plight of ex-servicemen is not going to benefit "self" and thus will not help the individual rise.
The shortest way to get some help to ex-servicemen would be by adding an incentive for the people who are presently serving. But then it is at best a "temporary solution" and will do more harm in the future.
In today's Navy we officers are so pre-occupied with such irrelevant tasks that the bigger picture is missed by all of us.
The "one year tenure" and "zero error syndrome" has made us including the rank and file of the service so myopic that we cannot see beyond a year or two. The worst part is that the senior leadership is also suffering from this disease of severe short shortsightedness.
I should probably stop now or else it'll look like the rantings of a disgruntled officer. However in service "wisdom and logic" seems to be only the prerogative of people with grey hair.

regards
AkshayAkshaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710313771389348282.post-25619443748708254192013-07-16T15:12:46.146+05:302013-07-16T15:12:46.146+05:30Thank You SirThank You SirVikram Waman Karvehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00290102473130246523noreply@blogger.com
