Unfortunately, the on...Yes, they absolutely should! Unfortunately, the ones that do encourage think along the lines of - If the husband and wife both work for us, they'll find it convenient to travel together and such, there'll be more stability for them and thus they might be more loyal employees and less inclined to leave. The worst part is when companies allow spouses to work 'for' each other and not just with each other. That's a complete deal breaker for me!Deepa from FictionPieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08190726711949079567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710313771389348282.post-81969273153663032542013-05-30T00:56:31.092+05:302013-05-30T00:56:31.092+05:30@ Deepa - absolutely agree with you that it is bet...@ Deepa - absolutely agree with you that it is better for husband and wife to have separate workplaces otherwise home becomes and extension of office.
Also, I feel it is best for the organisation to discourage office romances and "inbreeding"

Vikram Waman Karvehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00290102473130246523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710313771389348282.post-80767348816955508612013-05-29T18:17:44.784+05:302013-05-29T18:17:44.784+05:30Aah, serious post! The latter part of your post re...Aah, serious post! The latter part of your post resonates too well with me. My husband and I worked in the same firm, and yes - though we didn't know it then - the firm does give out incentives. Unfortunately, we came to know about this much much later - a few years down the line :P But my personal opinion - never work in the same department or the same project as a spouse. Then you end up talking shop all the time and it's crazy to work on the same project - tough to put up with sarcastic shit from people - irritates you on a daily basis. Personally - having been in both situations, I think keeping work offices separate is much better! Of course, could be different person to person!

Cheers,
Deepa - 10 Reasons Why I Didn't PostDeepa from FictionPieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08190726711949079567noreply@blogger.com
